does one take pills and insulin?
thanks all
Medication treatment methods vary. One can take insulin and pills and achieve very good control. If oral medications are not keeping your blood glucose within your target ranges, then insulin is usually started. You will be amazed at how well insulin works. A basal/bolus regimen works the best.

I am a type 1, but I also have insulin resistance. That is called double diabetes. I had used only insulin for 53 years and I gained weight and the insulin resistance was diagnosed. Then I took a type 2 pill along with my insulin. I have taken both the pill and my insulin for 11 years. On Sept 15, 2010, I will celebrate my 65'th anniversary with type 1. I have very good health, so my using both the pill and insulin has been good for me.
