Well, it's 3am and I'm up to send off Wifey and mother-in-law as they head to Spain for two weeks. I'll be staying home and taking care of our two cats as well as working through the holidays.

A 107 this morning, late to bed and too early of a wake up. Off on my 7 day break now, so maybe if its rest I need, oh well, don't expect miracles, it will have to wait until after the National Finals Rodeo is over.

100 today morning. It would have gone down if i had waited longer but i want to start testing as soon as i wake up now. I start cooking for my kid as soon as i wake up and tasting things here and there wont really give me my fasting number. I was very shocked yesterday as i ate more carbs than usual, but it was all homecooked food. But at 1 hour i was 154 and 2 hours 171! I have never spiked so much with homecooked food. I did have an anthon berg liquor chocolate to end the meal but would that extra bit spike me more than 20-25 points?

Concert last night went better than expected, despite the loss of my best boy due to the flu - the poor kid really wanted to sing and came to warm up, but just couldn't do it.

My CGM sensor failed just before the performance. I suspended insulin which was a mistake as I was over 300 after. I wish I could figure out why these things keep failing early - it was only two days since I changed it.

Oh, I played okay. I have a meeting with my department head Monday morning. Should get a better sense of whether or not my contract will be renewed next year. I hope so...

Snap carbcrazydog! I had a 100 this morning too. Doctor kept me off work today too and the husband got the kids off to school so I am alone until 3:30. And what am I going to do???? Absolutely nothing. Probably nap and watch cheesy movies .

It is warmer, 30°F but snowing on and off. Glad I don't need to go anywhere today.

@carbcrazy, yeah, I would suspect the chocolate. Especially if it had a liqueur inside, that is just pure sugar.

Overcast and warm again, not a breath of wind. Expected top temp 26C. Temp remaining high at night so summer bedding will go on this weekend. Winter doonas off to specialist laundry. A bit costly but they are beautifully cleaned and come back vacuumed packed for storing until needed again.
