What does that translate in regular glucose reading?

Actually, the scale NSDad uses is in use across much of the world. The United States, Mexico, France, India, Italy, Japan, and Korea use the mg/dL scale. But the rest of the world uses the mmol/L scale.

I'm still not very good at translating between the scales (dividing by 18 to mmol/L in my head is hard!) but I'm getting more conversant with it.

I took my blood sugar 4 times this morning hoping my new meter was wrong!
In the 9 years since I was diagnosed only one meter came with a control solution. I wish they all did.
BG was anywhere from 134-154 fasting today. I've had allergies and been taking Mucinex. Feeling better today and not taking any more OTC meds for a while.

SHC286, with diabetes there's only normal-ish. But pretty much any diabetic would be happy to wake up to a 104 -- especially on a consistent basis.

What’s normal?

Most guidelines state:
FBG 70-100 is normal
FBG 100-125 indicates pre-diabetes
FBG >126 indicates diabetes
But like etherea said, there are no normals, or I would be greater than 126 every morning.
Even though we are diabetic (pre-diabetes and diabetes are one and the same to me) there is no reason that we can't have a FBG number in the normal range. I love double digit numbers when I can get and keep[ them there. It is difficult at times, but not impossible.

FBG for me yesterday a 95, today a 111.

Thanks, good to know. I haven’t done as much reading as I’d like. I have no great excuse. I work 60 hours a week and maintain a life outside of work, but I do still have downtime that I haven’t scheduled for education.
