You don't see them as often as I would like around here. These were still hot and popping when they got to the table. I think we got extra because we knew the ownerI love those but you hardly ever see them around here.
Here in the Alamo city, we call them "chicharones" (and also pork rinds). You can get them already fried and bagged in the chip section or fresh and make your own in the produce section.129 this morning
I went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch Wednesday, but my numbers were better yesterday than today. They offered freshly fried pork rinds as an option for the cheese dip. We had enough left over to take home for a snack.
