Sleep definitely affects bg levels. I had insomnia last night and fasting number is 120 today. Not going to let it upset me. I plan on doing some yoga today and hope to sleep better tonight. Still in the fight to get to an A1C of 5.1 by November.
Yes, it does 😳. When I was going to bed really late, I noticed my sugar levels were fairly high in the morning. I now go to bed at least by 11:30, and I wake up at 7:30, and my sugar levels have been fairly low In the morning. When I was getting ready to retire last year, I was under so much stress, and my sugar levels were in the 140s and 150s raising my A1C to 7%. Stress also raises your sugar levels.
