First, what did you have for dinner?

In your shoes, I would probably cut out =all= carbs (except from non-starchy veggies), meaning eat just eggs, meat, cheese, fish, healthy oils with my veggies and that should bring your numbers down fairly quickly. If you are already eating like that, then yes, I would go to the hospital.

Keep testing and see how you are able to recover from your dinner spike, and for breakfast have just eggs and bacon/sausage - maybe make an omelet adding cheese. But don't have bread, cereal, milk, sugar, oatmeal or anything like that. I'm guessing your numbers will come down meaningfully ...

It sounds like you need some help in other areas, not just meds. What is your typical diet like?
