I'm talking about the American Diabetic Association. How can they be so far off in their recommendations and still be saying "let's stop diabetes"? There are reports and articles like this: Number of Americans with Diabetes Rises to Nearly 26 Million
More than a third of adults estimated to have prediabetes and then the ADA puts out things like this. Please! Look at the recipes they suggest for a diabetic on Valentine's Day!!!! Like this one:
2 large eggs
2 egg whites
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup granular no-calorie sweetener
3 cups 1% low-fat milk
1 ½ teaspoons espresso granules or 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
16 teaspoons light brown sugar
There's 23g of SUGAR...for crying out loud.
And the other recipe has 51g of carbs of which 13g are sugar! This is crazy! No wonder we all have to figure it out for ourselves! Unbelievable!!!
