You guys are right on target . . . undue influence from other agencies/associations with a huge financial stake in the outcome. ADA is essentially useless to any conscientious diabetic, just like the FDA's food pyramid, and the AMA's "diabetic" diet . . . somebody else here said it better the other day: the whole cabal is "bought and paid for".
