I didn't know that there was a cure for type 2. I just got done with a big arguement on facebook with a lady that insisted that if you eliminate all the symtems that you were cured. I told that if you have a leak in your tub and ig goes empty everynight half way through your bath that if you let the water runn slowly while you are taking your bath you won't run out of water so by your rules you have fixed the leak. :flame:

Adjitater, most people do not seem to be aware of the term "reversal". Getting rid of all the symptoms will cause the diabetes to improve, that is called a reversal, but not a cure. I think you already know that. Did you explain the idea of reversal to her, and then explain that the symptoms would return once the diabetes was ignored?

Oh yes of coarse I did and she posted an article from some online cancer research place that sid it could be cured by eating the right fats. I just laughed that off.

That little 'it was written' syndrome, 'so it must be true.' I've fallen for it myself a couple of times.

Plus people have the urge to give advice. (Me too )

They might be working in a health food store because grade 9 was too much for them, but the health advice, and how the doctors are all wrong, just comes pouring out. Any provocation will do.

Of course they might have good points too. I had the misfortune to live with health food extremists and wound up discounting everything they said. Turned out at least one thing was true.

There are some experimental cures that mainly work on type 2 and seem to fail in the long run for type 1, however they are only possible if done within the first half year of having diabetes.
